Agenda Item 1 – Welcome and Apologies

Robert welcomed the board back after the summer break. Apologies as above.

Agenda Item 2 – Previous Minutes

Proposed as a true reflection John seconded by Emma Semple

Agenda Item 3 – Matters Arising from Previous Minutes


Agenda Item 4 – Correspondence

Fiona informed the board of the following correspondence received:-
• Federation Matters from Edinburgh Tenants Association
• Confirmation of membership TPAS Scotland
• Tenants Voice from Edinburgh Tenants Association
• Bank Statement
• High rise flat agenda and minutes
• Notification of a grant reward from Forth Neighbourhood Partnership
• Email from Edinburgh University student wishing to conduct a focus group with residents/TRIM members

Agenda Item 5 – Finance

Robert gave a breakdown of the monies in the bank, there has been no change since the last meeting. The grant award of £1424 will be paid in.

Agenda Item 6 – Community Shop

Robert provided an update on the community shop:

• Edible Edinburgh launched from community shop and featured on STV @ 6pm
• Toys for Gaza appeal – Massive response and 90% of total collection came via the shop
• Oaklands senior pupils are back in the shop, one day a week selling their handmade cards and engaging with residents.
• MacMillian Coffee morning Friday 27th within the Community Shop
• Security Concerns within the shop – “Discussion taken place and recommendations highlighted”
• Window display is proving very popular and currently we have the “Aye No” – Future displays will be made in conjunction with Link Up
• Play Bus – Outside the shop and we have managed to get a smaller bus back for 2 days.
• Cooking Demonstrations / Information are back in the shop in conjunction with Muirhouse Link, delivered by Pilton Community Health Project.

Continue to work with:

• North Local Office
• Councillors, MSP and MP
• Link Up Muirhouse, Police Scotland, Centipede Project
• Golden Acre fair-trade and St Serfs Church

Agenda Item 7 – Any Other Business

Memorial fund all relevant parties to be invited to discuss the memorial Karma and Joan to represent TRIM, week commencing 29 Sept.

Council and councillors to be invited to a meeting with Robert and John to discuss the lack of maintenance of green spaces and the recycling points. Week commencing 22 September.

Robert Pearson is representing the community shop which has been shortlisted for an award at an awards ceremony in Nottingham. The council is meeting the cost of flights and hotel it was agreed that £200 would be withdrawn from funds to cover additional cost while Robert is away from home. (Meals, travel to and from airport etc)
