  • A boy that is nervous about participating in a spelling bee receives advice from his family members on the Shoshone reservation The family members offer an animal to act like influencing him to be unafraid This book could be used in order to understand about Native American culture It shows how influenced they are by nature and the animals within it.

  • Everyone has fears, and people often come up with strategies for facing their fears In this story, Spider comes up with his own way of facing stage fright I like the story because it focuses on a particular tribe and it depicts a situation that most kids will encounter I d like to know what kids think of the story.

  • Great story about courage and family support as seen through the story of a native American boy who works up to the night of the school spelling bee.
