  • Three stars for such a highly respected book Maybe I just know the play too well, or perhaps Mack s book has been so influential that most of its wisdom already came to me from other sources, but by the time I read it many of the ideas were too familiar to impress There is little wrong with the lectures collected here, but for me the book did not match its reputation, which, perhaps, is testimony to its influence in the past.
