  • Book 2 was needed because readers can now see First Lady Rachel as a mature woman Mary had a tryst with Rachel s husband, announced her pregnancy before the congregation and did not get the basic beat down So yes, The First Lady has been changed for the better I enjoyed every page of this book and happy to know there s a book 3.

  • Rachel, David Jonathan definitely went thru changes with their kids relationships in this 2nd part Noticeable growth maturity with David Rachel Great content in storyline

  • Patience is a virtue and Lester Adams has much patience He has begged, pleaded and FINALLY won over the love of his life Rachel Jackson and they are now married for five years Life is going pretty good for the Adams until Lester drops a bombshell on Rachel that she is not willing to deal with Will they be able to maintain their marriage or will this be the end of Rachel and Lester Angela Brooks is trying to move on with her after Jonathan Jackson but is having trouble because Jonathan will not l [...]

  • Will the Drama Ever End It s been seven years since we congregated with the Jackson family, and, boy, have things changed Rachel Jackson Adams, former deviant and preacher kid, is now the first lady of Zion Hill, the very church she grew up in Though she d been reluctant at first when Lester, her husband, told her about his calling, she is trying very hard to play her position Unfortunately, Rachel still has a lot of growing to do With so much stress from the church, Jordan, her son, and her bro [...]

  • Great follow up to Let the Church Say Amen I enjoyed reading about the mostly progress of Rachel, David, and Jonathon Rachel has come a long way, but still has a ways to go There was some surprising twists and turns throughout All the turbulent relationships had me shaking my head, but I am glad that resolutions were met And, don t get me started on Mary I look forward to seeing what will happen in the next installment.

  • Loved it This book pulled me in from the beginning and kept me going to the very end Reshonda Tate Billingsley is becoming one of my favorite authors It was a great continuation from the first book I would highly recommend this book.

  • Oh my goodness I am enjoying this series much than I expected Rachel is a mess, and at times a hilarious mess She has grown quite a bit since Let the Church Say Amen , but there are people who keep trying her patience and her faith There were a couple of times when I had to close the book and walk away while chanting I can t I can t I can t I paid 3.79 for this book at thriftbooks It was well worth the purchase.

  • When her husband hears God s call to become a preacher, Rachel Jackson Adams is distressed she grew up a preacher s daughter, and knows how difficult life under the microscope can be for a reverend s family But hot headed Rachel has toned down her wild ways, and for the sake of her marriage and her two children, she is now the reluctant first lady of Zion Hill, unafraid to rock the boat with her unconventional ideas for revitalizing the church When her son Jordan begins fighting at school, Rache [...]

  • Temptation comes in all forms Surprisingly, Rachel is a changed woman once she became like her mother as First Lady, but doesn t want the submissiveness and order like her Mommy She never imagined getting married to the man who loved her, but at one time, no interest whatsoever Looks isn t everything, or is it, since temptation is knocking at her door with a past love that is now said all is over with his wife at one time, Rachel would have been all over him and did what it too to be his Jonatha [...]

  • I enjoyed this novel It had it s moments when it seem to be going slow but then it picked up Glad that ReShonda let Rachel grow up in this book it took a minute, but at the end she finally got it together I felt bad for how Rachel treated Lester and was really surprised that she had pushed him to do what he did Even though he was setup I still thought he was stronger than that I was really happy that David kept his promise to his dyeing Mother and got off drugs, but not so happy that the crazy T [...]

  • Very good read Looking forward to reading Say Amen, Again Everybody Say Amen picks up 7 years later, with the Jackson family Jon is fighting to see his son, after leaving Angela for his lover David gets cleaned after the passing of his mother and steps up to be a single father and Rachel is just as feisty as ever This book had me laughing and crying at the same time This is really what goes on in SOME black communities and how the family and church family stick together to overcome it Oh And did [...]

  • This book reads almost like a soap opera There were many references to god but it was actually really mindless entertainment I wish i could give it a 3.5 The end is a cliff hanger meant to make purchase the next book in the series but i ve undecided whether i want to spend another book reading about the Jackson s Overall, it s a good book.

  • Excellent book, keeps u on edge till the end Just when u think everything is settled down in Rachel s life, oops a twist I didn t see coming.Damn, my mouth dropped Sooo, now onto book 3 Got to see how Rachel deals with this situation On to the bookstore I go

  • Book Two for the Say Amen series was a complete turnaround from Book One especially for the fact that Rachel is now married is also the new First Lady at her father s church Totally didn t expect that outcome, let alone how the drama is far from over

  • She delivered again I was so proud of this family and how far they came They still had lots of issues but they recognized that there was a different way of dealing with issues and negativity They not only matured but matured in Christ.

  • WOW This book was sooo good s like I was watching a movie Rachel really tried to turn her life around and everytime she tried being good ppl would be there testing her patience I m proud of her.e did good despite everything that was thrown at her

  • Rachel is tested in so many way But no one messes with her familyI couldn t imaginebbeing a pastor s wifeways under scrutiny Lester betrayal is the hardest thing she will have to face
