  • The story, No Place for Magic, is an echanting fairy tale This book is the fourth in the series of the Frog Princess Princess Emma has finally mastered her magic, but she soon discovers that she cannot always rely on it When taking a visit to the parents of her soon to be wed Eadric , she enters in a new quest, in which her magic cannot be used This tale tells of the young couple, who have great determination, strong courage, and an even greater love for each other This has been one of the best [...]

  • Tales of the Frog Princess, book 4 Emma and Eadric are ready to get married, but first they have to get his parents approval Eadric s mother does not approve of magic She hates it so much that she won t even allow Emma to help rescue her younger son, Bardston, who has been kidnapped by trolls THis is probably the weakest link in the series, but it was still funny enough to keep me reading I just love Emma She is a great character.

  • Hmm Well, this wasn t a bad little book, but not great either Its strongest point is the conclusion to the Emma Eadric romance subplot we finally get to see their wedding But aside from that it was a pretty mixed bag content wise. The trolls were funny, though their resolution, clearly intended to be amusing was anticlimactic The vampire bit entertained me, however all the other little stops this story makes on the way to the trolls did not The continued Lil Garrid romance still is weird and unco [...]

  • Yet again a great book by E.D Baker I just love her books Probably because they are in the genre I enjoy Anyway, I m running out of this to say so 5 stars. You should read it

  • Honestly this is just a cute, little series that I read during my down time because every once in a while everyone needs a bit of a fluff read This really does not take much thought which is in no way anything against the books They are just written for a younger age bracket than I am in but I enjoy reading books of all age groups.

  • I ve been continuing to read through this series at my ten year old s insistence, and they are actually pretty good In this one, Emma, the main character learns that her strength in magic is not always the cure for every problem As I read, I found myself reflecting on how often I allow myself to rest in my strengths in a way that I was never meant to.At any rate, this really finishes up the story arc in my mind, and it s a neat and tidy finish, but the series still looks like it has several boo [...]

  • Baker, E.D No Place for Magic, 250 p Bloombury Emma and Eadric are ready to marry, but Emma insists that they receive his parents blessing In Eadric s country, however, witches and magic are not respected When the pair arrive, they are immediately set with the task of rescuing Eadric s little brother from evil trolls and Emma is going to try to accomplish this without depending on her magic A nicely done addition to the Frog Princess series EL, MS ADVISABLE

  • What a great book in this fun series I read this aloud to my children and it was exciting, surprising, and funny It had just the right amount of fairly innocent romance for young readers and had lots of humour Fantastic

  • I loved this book it was a relaxing read and as it was quite short i didn t stop wanting to read it the book was funny and humorous so i would recommend it FAVOURITE QUOTE Ingabinga all right

  • I did really enjoy this book, even than the others that I have read so far There were certainly some flaws that I saw toward the end, but I thought it was entertaining and at times quite funny.

  • This author continues to be quite uneven in how she handles the power dynamics between Princess Emma and all of those people closest to her At times, Emma will decide to move in and take over dangerous, unpredictable, unpleasant situations, in her role as the Green Witch, while at other times she s as skittish about handling adult responsibilities as any preschooler particularly when it comes to setting limits on the abysmal intrusions, pettiness, and insensitivities of her mother who bosses Emm [...]

  • This is, by far, one of the best stories I ve ever read It takes you on such a surprising and energetic adventure This is the fourth book of the series, and this time Emma, the main character, struggles with some things since she s both a witch and a princess Obviously, people wouldn t like magic too much She s ready to marry prince Eadric and rule two kingdoms with him, but Eadric s parents sure aren t Eadric s mother does not approve of magic, and neither does the kingdom she rules. But, when h [...]

  • No Place For Magic is a nice ending for Emma and Eadric, and it has a promising outlook for the future of Montevista and their stance towards magic Emma s spells are especially good in this one, particularly the spell that she places on Bradston You can tell that her time as the Green Witch has really honed her abilities Also, that part where she turns into a dragon and fights the Troll Queen is awesome. So, once again, the blurb is a bit misleading I was worried that the book would once again ha [...]

  • Emma and Eadric head to Eadric s kingdom in order to gain his parents blessing before they can get married Eadric s parents, his mother in particular, hate magic and are dead set against Emma Upon their arrival at the castle Emma and Eadric find that Eadric s younger brother has been kidnapped by trolls The two set out to rescue him while Emma struggles not to use her magic.Emma went back to being annoying in this book This seems to be an ongoing trend in E.D Baker s books, well, at least all th [...]

  • Emma and Eadric s adventures continue, in this the fourth book, of The Frog Princess series I love tales about princesses and princes, and I love all the books by this author so of course I truly enjoyed reading this book. This time, they are on a quest to rescue Edric s little brother, who has been captured by Trolls and destined to become the Troll Queen s husband I am not really sure why the Troll Queen would kidnap Bradston as he is only about ten years old but of course she is not the sharpe [...]

  • Book four in the series, Emma is ready to marry Prince Eadric, but her mother in law to be has other ideas she hates magic and therefore disapproves of Emma, determined to make it work Emma and Eadric travels to Upper Montevista to ask for their blessing, but when they get there Bradston has been Kidnapped Emma and Eadric embark on a mission to bring him back, journeying deep into the troll kingdom is dangerous, but now Emma can t use her magic for fear of a trace, things just keep getting worse [...]

  • This is the fourth of the Frog Princess books, a series that began with The Frog Princess, one of many modern day fairy tale retellings I ve read in the past few years This wasn t my favorite of the series, but it was a good addition nonetheless. In this portion of the story, almost all is right in Emma s world She s got her true love, she s ended the family curse, and all that remains is to win over Eadric s parents so they may be married With this in mind, the happy couple sets off to Eadric s [...]

  • In No Place For Magic by E.D Baker, Emma and Eadric travel because Eadric s little brother has gotten kidnapped by trolls They need to find him and bring him back But there is a catch Every time that they use magic, the trolls know where they are In the end they find his little brother and bring him back to safety Until the trolls attack Once Emma got rid of their magic balls that show you where Emma does her magic, the trolls could no longer find them very easily So now that the trolls can t fi [...]

  • Emma is determined to get Eadric s parents to give their blessing for the wedding between the two, but she doesn t understand their dislike of all things magical especially witches When Emma and Eadric get to his parents castle they learn that Eadric s bratty little brother has been taken by the troll queen Emma knows this is her opportunity to show Eadric s parents just what magic can really do, as she saves their son But when Emma finds that the trolls can track her when she uses magic through [...]

  • I actually ended up liking this much better than I thought I would Emma wants the approval of Eadric s parents before they marry, but his folks are not too keen on the idea of having a witch in the family But when Eadric s little brother disappears, Emma and Eadric undertake the task of finding him The hitch is that Emma can t use her magic Will they be able to find Prince Bradston using simply their wits The twist of having Emma unable to use her magic actually proved quite interesting and not [...]

  • I am currently rereading this series one of my favourites My baby is almost 4 months old and I am still very sensitive read hormonal and keep starting books and putting them aside when they get too disturbing I am left with very little to read so I have returned to a safe favourite There is a great deal of comfort in the known I am near the beginning of the book and while many scenes are familiar, many have been completely forgotten For example, I had totally forgotten Eadric s parents as charac [...]

  • An interesting viewpoint on magic E D baker is really good, although she doesn t transition very well I think that Eadric is loyal He is always willing to defend Emmeralda when they are in danger which is a lot Even though he is usually no match for their foes and Emma her nickname has to save his life several times, he stands up to rogue magic, and to do that for someone else takes a lot of courage and loyalty An example of Eadric s loyalty towards Emma would be Thank you, Eadric And Emma, Eadr [...]

  • Princess Emma of Greater Greensward is headed for Upper Montevista, where she aims to get Prince Edward s parents blessing so they can get married When they get there, Edward s little brother, Bradston, is missing Edward s mother won t let Emma use magic to find Bradston, even though it s a potentially life or death situation So Emma and Edward set off to find Bradston the way people usually do without magic Emma and Edward are not exactly real world, but they re funny and this really is a good [...]

  • Dear E.D BakerWhy did you make Eadric s family so horrible I thought they were going to be charming, loving, nice, hospitable, caring, something even anything like Eadric They treat Emma horrid it isn t fair They don t like Emma because she does magic, but really, in her kingdom she gets the most respect They don t seem to care about Eadric and Emma s love for each other Then when they do get the blessing why do trolls have to come and ruin it at the very end That wasn t fair after Emma worked s [...]

  • Once again another fantastic story that turns the old fairy tale on its head In this we meeet the four headed troll queen who has decided that she wants to marry a prince who happenes to be the bratty younger brother of Eadric , we are re introduced to Shelton the heroic talking crab and we meet a Banshee who is actually very nice Despite loving the book on a whole the the one thing that I look forward to is the side story of Li l the bat and Garrid the vampire who fell in love with her As alway [...]

  • A fun fantasy fairy tale complete with kings, queens, princes and princesses There are also witches, giants, dragons, sea monsters, werewolves, castles, caves, knights, a bat, a crab, cockatrices, a singing sword, ghosts, trolls, griffins, a banshee, vampires and fairies What could a person want in a fairy tale Oh yeah, a wedding.I have not read any of the previous books, this is the fourth in the series, but would like to find the first one since most of the reviews claim the ones before this [...]

  • My favorite character in this book was Bradston because he is smart and knows how to get what he wants I just don t like his ways of trying to get it In the text it states Bradston went to talk to the Green Witch, to handle the Emma situation He seemed to filled with Malice against Emma I think it was because Eadric Braston s brother was spending time with Emma than he was with him I don t think he hated Emma I think he was just jealous of time she was spending with his brother.
