  • That s pretty much my reaction to this whole book Not only is it crazy long, but it s also just plain crazy A lot of things just didn t make sense, especially the whole Blind Justices of Olympus deus ex machina crap that just came out of nowhere. Then there was the final battle which had the male lead wearing a cat suit No, just no Men weren t ever meant to wear those Ever If Quinto can t pull it off, neither can anyone else. The flashbacks to Medieval Times needed to be straight forward I mean, [...]

  • Six years after the cliff hanger ending of Spellbound , the authors complete the series with Resurrection There is bouncing about the globe and through time by various folk searching for other folk, demons, revelations, fireballs, death and destruction, and some rather dubious returns from the grave The authors also wove into the story the olde English ballad, Scarborough Fair, which made me want to go burn my Simon Garfunkle CD Suffice to say it really didn t work well for me.The series as [...]

  • OK,here is if you read the finale I don t know that your life will be any better for it If you skip it, I am sure you won t walk around with a hole in your soul The first 4 books were so dark and complex, I was hoping the final would bring everything together including our star crossed lvoers Well, the authors tossed in Christian issues and myths and ressurecting people that honestly one character did not need to be resurrected I suppose those things are fine if there is a real rational behind [...]

  • Ok, totally completely freaking loved this series and hate, hate, HATE that it s over I m extremely happy that it looks like Eli and Nicole are going to get back together I always liked him best for her even when he was being evil And may I say thank friggin God that Jer stopped being a total pussy and finally admitted him and Holly were mean t to be together It s sad that Holly s gonna be blind and stuck on that freaky council now forever PAnd I wanna ask anybody who reads this review, if back [...]

  • This book was awful and I was pretty relieved to have finished it, bringing to an end the 1000 page saga.I have said before that the previous books were badly written, and that some of the plot points were pretty confusing In this book they throw time travel and teleportation into the mix and it s just impossible to follow in many places It s been very badly edited and since this book is mainly action that s a big problem.Story wise this is the most exciting of all 5 of the books, with the most [...]

  • This series finally ended awesomely It explained every thing it just sort of rushed it all at the end At times it was a little hard to follow due to all the time traveling with out people knowing it happened Although I liked how that factored in This was well worth the slowness at the begining.

  • Ever since I read Wicked two years ago, I ve been a fan of this series It may not be every one s cup of tea, and the magic in these books are nothing like Harry Potter, quiet the opposite in fact, filled with darkness and evil, and you never quiet know which side everyone is on.But that s one of the things I enjoy so much about this series. And Wicked Resurrection was anything but a disappoint, a fitting conclusion to the series After having the last two books leaving you hanging, wanting , Holde [...]

  • This review is going to be a little quick But I stand by on what I said in the first two books The only difference with this book is the way the explanation of the feud between the two families. In the first four books we know that the Cahors massacred the Deveraux family after the marriage of Isabeau and Jean failed to produce a child for the Deveraux and failed to give the Cahors the secret of the Black Fire. But in this book, it turns out that a warlock murdered an Cahors Deveraux couple that w [...]

  • The end of the feud is here With our cast of characters spread across the globe, all working toward the end, it s up to fate if they win or lose this battle. For Holly, she s with Alex and the Temple of Air fleshing out covens of warlocks and defeating them all Alex still wants to be in thrall with her, and Holly is still reluctant because of her love for Jer Armand and Pablo are still with her, but both are uneasy in this new alliance. For Amanda and Nicole, they have taken up residence in the Mo [...]

  • I laughed my way through this book mostly to keep from crying So so so bad It should be titled Deus ex Machina considering the authors obsession with magic or God s ess es wtf just fixing every plot hole.I really loved this series as a teen but all I have to say for it now is that it was entertaining probably for the wrong reasons and the ideas were great but poor writing and development combined with a shoddy editing job unfortunately left us with a disappointing series.

  • It was a race to the finishe descriptions in the book were great and I could see every battle play oute series started out strange for me, but it ended well I like endings that are tied up in little packages with a bow and then gifted to the reader Perfect ending to a tumultuous series I would only recommend if you can see it through to the end.

  • There are lots of characters in this book, but they are grouped together and are written about in different countries, times, some people being possessed by others It was difficult to keep track of what time ie year they are in I liked the idea and the plot but was difficult to keep everyone in line.

  • This is the second time I ve read this book, and I feel absolutely burned out Not to say that I did not enjoy the series Not in the least I love this series at least in the sense that I could read it again and again and stay engaged, although I ll admit it doesn t appeal to a wide audience at all and not many people seem to know it or like it much I bought Wicked Witch and Curse from Barnes and Noble a few years ago and was shocked, at first It was nothing like what the blurb on the back had me [...]

  • WOW This was a very impressive series from Nancy Debbie They have certainly initiated me into a wider and knowledgeable world of witches and warlocks They gave me understanding of the world of Covens that I had not read before Nancy Debbie also delved on the dark side of witchcraft in this series. It was refreshing to read a lead character dealing with the devil in order to save her own coven bit by bit selling of parts of her soul each time Though don t be fooled.e dark side isn t always made [...]

  • Resurrection is the fifth novel in the Wicked series Check out my reviews on Wicked and Wicked 2.Resurrection was a satisfying ending to the Wicked series At the end of the last novel Spellbound, I was left breathless, and shocked, at the cliffhanger So I was even surprised when the cliffhanger wasn t even acknowledged until about 90 pages in, and even then, the same character was still the only one with that knowledge.More surprises fill the pages, as well as prophecies regarding the Cather s [...]

  • Resurrection ends the Wicked series with a bang Alex Carruthers is leading the coven to kill off the remaining members of the evil coven, with Holly in tow Nicole and her family discover she is the heiress to the Moore mansion and fortune The main question throughout the book is will they find each other again and will they finally defeat evil A satisfying ending to a good series.

  • In this fifth and final installment of the Wicked series, Holly and some of her coven, now led by her cousin Alex, in Europe destroying the smaller strongholds of the Supreme Coven Holly s heartbroken that her beloved Jer Devereaux has rejected her, so she agrees to pair up with Alex permanently Meanwhile, her other cousins Amanda and Nicole are with their father and others in the evil Moore mansion that Nicole now owns through marriage to her late husband Nicole and colleagues are trying to pro [...]

  • As seen at bookwormwisdom I enjoyed the novel Resurrection, the conclusion to the Wicked series But while reading the novel I noticed that there were an abundance of characters Most of these characters had been introduced in the previous novels But, honestly, I ve heard that you re not supposed to focus on than eight or so characters There were twenty seven major characters I know this because I went through after reading the novel to count how many characters were listed at the beginning of ea [...]

  • Resurrection by Nancy Holder and Debbie Vigui was an amazing read It was better then the first one, and the second Nancy Holder has a way of drawing you in, and taking you to a different world. In this book you go off with all the sisters of the lily and see what there are struggling to face to save there family s life Holly sacrifices lots so the ones she loves can be safe, but when the worst happens and Holly can interfere with what is to happen, will they make it When the balance of good and e [...]

  • Resurrection, the awaited finale to the series Wicked, which was written by Nancy Holder and Debbie Vigui , is an amazing book This book is amazing because it is a mix of romance, betrayal and action The romance is portrayed through the lives of the star crossed lovers, Holly and Jer As their love for each other thickens, so does the space between them Jer is held captive by his brother on a hidden island, while Holly is fulfilling her destiny as the greatest power While Jer believes his life ha [...]

  • Finishing this book is a relief, not because I cared deeply for the characters fates, but rather because it means I am done with this frustrating and confusing series The ideas for the series gave the novels good potential, however, the books themselves are written as an early draft than as a published novel Ideas are introduced that are never addressed again, including major foreshadowing for things that do not happen, leaving the reader confused and waiting for characters to make great change [...]

  • I loved the other books in this series, but this one fell very short I found myself not even caring whether any of the main characters lived or died She switches perspectives far too often in the first half of the book In her previous books she handled the switching very well in my opinion But in Resurrection, she never sticks with characters long enough for her readers to reconnect with them I also felt that she sacrificed character likability for cliffhanger chapter endings Her attempts at sus [...]

  • Considering how much I loved the first two books when I read them years back, and enjoyed them almost as much the second time through so I could read all three together the last book really was a let down A jumbled mess of a book, there were entirely too many characters to keep up with, too many new plot lines and WTF twists introduced for the last book, and almost every character gets their happy ending It almost looked like Jer and Holly were finally not going to end up together, but I dunno, [...]

  • I s difficult to say just why this book was so disappointing.Halfway through, it rated only a 1 out of 10, or a half star, because up to there it seems to be mainly a recall of the events from the first four books From there, it went downhill. It pulled together a bunch of different mythos, and then hinged everything off the God of Hebrews and Christians, even though supposedly the witches and warlocks acknowledged Him as only a useless would be It pulled in Merlin as one of the Wise Men who visi [...]

  • When I read the final book to the Wicked series, I was shocked It read as if the authors just mash things together they thought THEIR fans would like The plot looses its essence I skipped a fair few pages reading this I NEVER EVER do that to other books in this series. But I like the fact that I get to see Eli grow as a character.I m just going to keep this short I don t get the whole giant God and Goddess thing The whole time the Cahors and Devereaux have a bloody feud is because of their own de [...]

  • Did not see a cohesive story throughout the whole book The little conflicts here and there were fine, but I did not see an overreaching arc The final battle had one side with the people who you d been told were good throughout the last four books joined with previously bad people against some random character who was introduced in the last 50 100 pages It was basically just a string of things happening to characters SPOILER Speaking of the characters, there are way too many of, especially when e [...]

  • I have to say, I have never been in love with this series, even from the beginning However, this book was the worst of them all In the entire series, there was little character development probably because the authors kept adding and to the plot I think this series could have been really great It just needed a little focus and character development so that the reader could really connect to the characters I do like how this is not your typical paranormal YA book these days that makes witches, [...]
