  • Karen Lynn Marstaller

Karen Marstaller, a retired teacher, grew up in far West Texas in the town of Van Horn She remembers going grocery shopping once a month because the nearest store was 120 miles away The library was her go to spot, and her love of reading blossomed in the middle of the Chihuahuan Desert On my first trip east to visit my sister in Beaumont, I was astounded to see trees growing outside my train window I didn t know trees grew wild I wanted to live like that Her college years were spent at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, and then she moved farther east to central Texas where she met the love of her life, Bill She and her husband have two sons, two daughters in law, and seven grandchildren. Her heart is for young people They are torn in many directions today, and are so full of dreams and hopes for the future, but many of them struggle to find their place of belonging If my stories help them to trust the Lord and to follow His paths for them, then they will do what they were created to do Encouraging young adults to find their God given place of service becomes a blessing for all of us.
