  • Obilisetty is at her best with with moments like that in the book description short, one off moments of humour Hers is a delightful combination of deadpan and quick witted remarks it s a light book no Deep Darks here and a fast read These are connected essays, vignettes, of growing up in India and eventually moving to the U.S How dull I m making that sound Obviously there s involved If you ve ever added in bed to the end of a fortune cookie fortune, the in my pink panties anecdote will resonate [...]

  • Received a complimentary copy from the author courtesy of the giveaway program. In this book, the author pens down her experiences, her life story It is a good book Each one of us has a story to tell But not all of us can pen it down so good Though, the narrative being short and crisp is good for us, as we are not being made to suffer boring details, still, brevity of the text leads to a wanting feeling Also, in writing her memoirs, Sashi keeps information about her work life to the minimum If a [...]

  • The book is very well written with witty humour It is a quick read and nothing you will put down halfway through As Obilisetty mentions in the Preface, this book is definitely a part of her and that is what has made it all the beautiful For this book has life, has instances in it which are very much real it is woven with her person and while reading the book I felt I was getting to know a person I recommend everyone to read this book, to get to know this wonderful author.I received a free copy [...]

  • It s a light hearted book to be finished in one go The book is funny mostly and looks little imaginative at parts The writing is style is really basic and easy to read, it s surely less then author s actual potential There are editing issues here and there Specially the BOLD lines for no reasons. The essays are connected and nice to read Little sharpness and clarity in writing can wonders for her.It s not a Must read kind of a book but certainly not a waste of time.

  • I received this book from First Reads in exchange for an honest reviewThis book was very humorous, witty, a true laugh out loud read, that I enjoyed It is a book that is difficult to put down once you start it It is a quick and easy read, that is definitely worth giving a shot.
