    About " A.C. Warneke "

  • A.C. Warneke

Like most writers, I spend most of my time telling myself stories and occasionally writing them down when they get too loud to remain in my head The characters are also very demanding, wanting to go out into the world to be discovered by millions of adoring readers, though they are most satisfied with having only a few readers that truly love them From the gargoyles that sit on top of the roofs to the Siren who lures her wolf astray to the Aradians and Apocritae to those who battle evil, the characters are everything Instead of going through the traditional gatekeepers of the publishing world I have leapt over the walls with the help of digital catapults kindle direct, smashwords, and createspace and messenger e birds , facebook, twitter, RNC, etc , going directly to the public It has been a year and while my strong hold is small it grows larger every day as I connect with other rebels throughout the lands and the readers who support our work It is a glorious day to be a writer. When it comes to the actual writing I have discovered that every single one of my books likes to be created in a different way, which makes establishing an environment that is most conducive to my writing is not likely, though it occasionally involves chocolate covered raisins, music, minesweeper, occasionally Mahjong, lots of solitaire, notebooks and scraps of paper, doodling and day dreaming, and fruity, sugar free bubble gum, not necessarily in that order and not always at the same time.Of course, none of this would be possible without the love and support of my very loving and very tolerant family my husband who encourages me to keep writing even when I act a little insane in regards to the worlds in my head, and my three kids who help out so much when I get lost in those same, darn worlds They politely listen as I go on and on about my characters motivations and back stories, their connections within the worlds created and how they fight to gain control of their destinies But I am a cruel writer and make them earn their happy endings Since I am also a Romantic at heart, they are all happy endings.Available books Darkness Comes February 2012 PNR Blight March 2012 UF Stone Lover March 2012 PNR, romantica Siren Song May 2012 PNR Stone Romance September 2012 PNR, romantica Blind Attraction Jan 31, 2013 Contemporary Coming soon ish Awakening PNR UF Stone Destiny PNR After Blight UF Darkness Comes book 2 PNR title to be determined author awarnekefacebook ACWarnekeacwarneke.wordpress

  • This review is based on an ARC provide to me by the author I went through several re writes of this review of AWAKENING because spoiler ish stuff kept creeping in And as a general rule, I don t like to rehash the plot and possibly ruin another reader s experience So, finally, in broad strokes Having read two of Ms Warneke s earlier works Stone Lover and Stone Romance , I thought that I was prepared for her creativity But AWAKENING took me by surprise in a good way The Prologue immediately piqued [...]

  • This was a great, complex story I truly hope the follow on book will come out soon The characters were strong, dynamic, creative, some loveable and some despised The world building was good, but some parts could have been expanded with depth I loved the additional characters of angles, demons, succumbs The various layers levels in the Queens hierarchy, was interesting I loved young Poppet, even though her ability to see, makes her a bit scary, her mom Beck and father Shaw, could have had larger [...]

  • Awakening was an fun enough PNR read and a slightly off centre take on the whole vampire lore The Apocritae aren t actually supposed to be vampires, but close enough Warneke created an interesting dilemma, threw out a fairly massive red herring, and actually wrapped the book up before the end something that seems to be becoming a rarity I quite liked a lot of the characters I especially liked Auberon I felt really wretched for him I have no doubt the payoff will come in the next book, Reawakenin [...]

  • Oh my gosh, I devoured this book This story lured me in from the beginning and took me on a roller coaster ride of passion and adventure. The chemistry between Celeste and Adam is sizzling hot and the sex bow chica wow wow Did I mention the cover is HOT The characters were a perfect blend of good, bad and NO WAY As each piece of the story is revealed I found it harder and harder to put this book down It definitely answered a lot of lingering questions left over from Blight The ending is epic and [...]

  • This was an interesting new take on vampires I received this book for free by winning a contest and I must say I was pleasantly surprised The sexual tension and activity moved a little bit to fast for me but other than that I enjoyed the ride The story was original and highly entertaining Although at some times you just want to smack Celeste for being stupid but she does a great job in the end One thing that was a little bit confusing was the different terms the author throws out The glossary wa [...]

  • After reading Blight, I could not wait for this book to come out and let me say, I was not disappointed Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down until I had finished it You can read this if you haven t read Blight, but if you do it seems to connect some of the pieces in this book I have much love for A.C Warneke s book and I will continue to read them for as long as they come out This book is totally worth the 2.99 price tag I will recommend this book to many of my friends.

  • Probably would have gave this book a four but it needs an editor A lot of than instead of then and visa versa Towards the end lots of missing punctuation Things that detract from the story Also a few scenes did drag a bit.As far as the book goes excellent Different idea for a PNR Loved it Wished I would have read Blight first I m thinking it might have explained a few confusions But I can read it now hehe.

  • OMFreakingGoodnessdid this book clear up a lot of what the hell happen in Blight Not only did I love it for that reason but it was a book that I could not put down Lots of action, love and just a great story A must read but only if you have read Blight first because it takes place after it and there are some spoilers Another rockstar book
