  • The sequel to My Lady Mage lived up to the first five star book I listed this as a favorite series with only two books out which I do not usually do I have not read a fantasy that I loved like this one since Cheryl Wilson s Tairen Soul series which probably will always be my favorite fantasy world to live in This story is far different but it appealed to me in many of the same ways The characters are wonderful, both the men and the women and the animals in it too I will admit I read this as slow [...]

  • I enjoyed the story and other characters but I felt it was 150 pages to long as there s a lot of filler of the library walking horse riding etc I enjoyed it for the most part

  • It is one of those books that you are dying to finish but at the same time dreading reaching the end because it means you ll suffer having to wait for the next part of this UTTERLY SPECTACULAR series Her Knight s Quest by Alexis Morgan is the second instalment in the Warriors of the Mist series, following My Lady Mage It picks up where where My Lady Mage left off the five Warriors of the Mist had concocted a plan in the hope of defeating Duke Keirthan and putting an end to his tyrannical rule ai [...]

  • January 2015 This was a great sequel to My Lady Mage The romance wasn t as strong, but the fantasy aspect was just as phenomenal. This book mostly follows another of the Warriors of the Mist, Duncan He has a troubled past that we learned a little of in the first book His father didn t appreciate his wife s or his son s love of knowledge So the man pushed fighting and such endeavors on Duncan Now Duncan excels at both.Lady Lavinia also has a bit of a troubled past, but I won t spoil hers for you S [...]

  • Alexis Morgan writes a good, solid romantic fantasy with very likeable characters This trilogy is a good read for a lazy weekend Her Knight s Quest has magic, romance, evil, and secrets The most interesting characters may be Sarra and Sigil.

  • Light read Writing in this one is a bit repetitive the character thinks of doing something, then does it after the next few paras , could use editing I read through it in bed perfect for a sleepy day when you don t want to think too much or too hard.

  • Her Knight s Quest, Warriors of the Mist 2, by Alexis MorganGrade C If you have regrets in your life, Duncan, you are indeed blessed, I have many, but kissing you will not be one of them Duncan has been one of The Damned, or Warriors of the Mist who are called upon when the Gods believe a champion is needed for the last two millennia Duncan and the four other warriors are still fighting Duke Keirthan and trying to save Agathia and it s people Duncan is sent to an abbey to find secrets in its lib [...]

  • Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION s Pack Alpha Michelle L Olson I m a fan of Alexis Morgan for sure, but this series is absolutely incredible, and Her Knight s Quest was truly special it s full of fabulous characters, a continually engaging storyline, an enchanting world, and I absolutely loved it I m not a historical romance reader Heck, I just read my first non paranormal romance the other day and I read A LOT I m an urban fantasy paranormal romance fantasy horror thriller girl, and yet, I was [...]

  • This book mainly follows Duncan and his quest to find information at a remote abbey on how to defeat their monstrous foe There he meets Lavinia,, the Abbess with her own secrets and Sarra, a young girl who is the gods mouthpiece Back at Lady Merewen s keep, Gideon is trying to recruit the neighboring landholders to their cause, while Murdoch and Lady Alina dance circles around their feelings And just who is Sigil really view spoiler First thing, as soon as the mad nephew was mentioned, I knew he [...]

  • Centuries before, the hero and his friends were damned to be the warriors of the Mist In worship to their goddess, they ve roamed the earth, battling in her name and longing for peace that the wars withhold from them The hero much prefers the scholarly life than his warrior status yet he excels brilliantly at both but it s his skill at the written word that he requires now Traveling to a secluded fortress high in the mountains, he seeks the aid of the sisters who live there, in particular the be [...]

  • First I would like to mention how stoked I was to get this ARC Absolutely love this fantasy realm Alexis Morgan created, mixing two genres that I love The world is not too complex or difficult to understand Almost similar to our own but magic is prominent Not too prominent but plays a key role Only two gods are mentioned They come into play when needed We were introduced to the hero in My Lady s Mage Duncan is one of the Damned In My Lady s Mage how he and his comrades became the damned is revea [...]

  • Rating 3 CupsDuncan has sworn to follow the Lady of the River and take any quest she deems worthy as his own He and his four fellow brothers are the Damned, immortal warriors who strive to redeem their honor Now Duncan s duty sends him on a pursuit for ancient texts containing the secrets to overcome an evil sorcerer, Duke When his quest leads him to a remote abbey, Duncan is both eager and wary of the beautiful abbess who holds the key to his search.Lady Lavinia knows far too much of men and ma [...]

  • I read My Lady Mage just long enough ago that I don t feel comfortable giving it its own separate review, but I will say that I quite enjoyed it The blend of magic and mysticism, romance and fantasy, is intriguing Although it had been some time, I found it easy to pick up the threads again in Her Knight s Quest. My biggest gripe with the book is the villain He s about as mustache twirlingly eeevil as you can get, and there isn t any real dimension there This made it harder for the conflict of the [...]

  • Check out our interview with Alexis Morgan and enter for a chance to win an ARC of Her Knight s Quest Sigh I just LOVE a good fantasy romance that is set in the classic medieval period And Her Knight s Quest fits that bill perfectly When last we left the Warriors of the Mist, five Damned Warriors who are forced to spend their time under the river until a worthy supplicant makes a request for their aid, they had just taken over the stronghold of Merewen s uncle in their attempts to force the evil [...]

  • I won book 3 in this series through a giveaway, but, having not read the first two books, I decided to start at the beginning and read the whole series I m glad that I did While fantasy isn t my thing, I do enjoy medieval romance and paranormal romance, so this seemed like a good fit Being the second in the series, there was minimal world building and the magic constraints were fairly simple to understand It didn t take up a lot of the story telling That being said, while I liked the characters [...]

  • This book follows Duncan s story in much the same way the first was Lady Merewen s and Gideon s I really love the way Alexis Morgan moves the storyline along While the men don t have much character development, it is because they are already the epitome of the chivalrous warrior The biggest development from them is their adapting to magic being used for than evil I would highly suggest this book and series overall to any who enjoy the historical books with knights and magic I enjoy reading the [...]

  • I really enjoy reading Alexis Morgans books, she consistently writes fulfilling stories with beautiful settings and her warriors lives deaths are really fascinating to read about and, Duncan s story is no exception If I have to say any one thing negative, it would be about Lavinia She is a likable enough of a character but I have mixed emotions when it comes to reading heroines that appear to be afraid and indecisive input pretend examples here, I don t want to give away things that might not bo [...]

  • I am really disappointed in this book I read the first 100 pages and everything was magic this and magic that and I just couldn t get into it Duncan was going to the abbey to look at their books and yes he got there but by the time I gave up, he still hadn t seen their books It seemed every time someone sneezed there was a magical reason for it Too confusing and boring Thumbs down on this series.

  • I liked this one than the previous one It was a good continuation of the story Even though the main group split up, the action was followed easily on both sides Nice character growth Looking forward to the conclusion.

  • A bit slower than the first book in the series but overall really good I m kind of scared to read the next one since I imagine we ll be closer to the Duke.

  • The book was fantastic I couldn t stop reading it till the end Very addictive and had a great time reading it

  • I enjoyed this even than the first book in the series The romance was top notch, though I felt like the ending was a little rushed Now I m chomping at the bit for the next one to come out.
